Greetings from Nerds of Prey!

Please allow me to extend a warm and hearty “hello” to all of you gorgeous nerds, blerds, geeks, and folks still trying to figure it out! We’re thrilled to have you here and we appreciate you taking the time to hang out with us.

In case you were still unsure of what exactly you’ve stumbled upon, Nerds of Prey is a biweekly podcast hosted by four Black women – Shannon, CG, Lauren, and Mel – who were in search of a place where they could listen to women like them discuss comics, video games, and all things wonderfully nerdy. It was crucial that we have a space that was considered safe, where we can talk about the aspects of nerd culture that are important to us. While there are plenty of nerdy communities that we wholeheartedly love and support, we needed a show that allowed Black women and women of color to take up as much space as they needed in order to talk freely about things that they truly love.

In short: we wanted to create a spot where we could be our most authentic selves and feel heard. We want you to feel heard, too.
